Ready to rock out with some Harold Pinter?! Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke will compose an original score for the upcoming Broadway revival of Old Times. As previously reported, Douglas Hodge’s production of the Harold Pinter drama will star Clive Owen, Eve Best and Kelly Reilly. Performances will begin on September 17 at the American Airline Theatre, where it will open officially on October 6.
“Thom’s music works backwards and forwards and plays with time and repetition in the same way Pinter does,” said Hodge. “In true Thom Yorke‐style, the music is epic, heartbreaking, irresistible and complex.”
Yorke added, “It’s been a pleasure working with Doug on my first stage production. I’ve enjoyed exploring through music the script’s themes of love and memory as well as Pinter’s rhythms, twists and turns.”
Yorke has performed with Radiohead on numerous albums, including the Grammy-winning In Rainbows, Kid A and OK Computer. He debuted as a solo artist in 2006 with The Erase. His more recent solo album premiered in released his first solo album, The Eraser, in 2006. Last year, he released his second solo record Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes.
